With a mission to bring great sake dining culture to Singapore, Sake Labo is a culinary-cultural concept that combines sake drinking and japas dining into a multi-faceted experience.
We serve high-quality, small batch craft sake imported directly from Japanese breweries, and all our sakes are meticulously kept in negative temperatures to preserve the integrity of each sake’s flavour and aroma.
Chef Derek has worked with world-renowned chefs and set up numerous restaurants overseas throughout his career. Besides being a Resident Chef on Asian Masters 2011 & 2012, Chef Derek was also awarded Mentor Chef of the Year by At-Sunrice Global Chef Academy (2011, 2012, 2013). His dedication to his culinary expertise placed him on the 2021 World Gourmet Summit Awards Chef of The Year as a finalist.
When Chef Derek is not behind the stove, he is photographing insects with his Olympus OMDEM1 MK3 camera.
Located at 29 Stanley Street, Sake Labo is tastefully adorned with a medley of terracotta-coloured interiors and wooden elements. It consists of a bar and mezzanine level with a curved overhead ceiling that adds depth and character to its overall ambience.
